Role overview
As an Examiner, you will be responsible for conducting one-on-one interviews with candidates, evaluating their language proficiency, and providing objective feedback on their performance. You will follow standardised assessment criteria to ensure fairness and consistency in the evaluation process. To excel in this role, we are looking for individuals who have a deep understanding of the language and possess exceptional communication skills. Experience in assessing language proficiency and familiarity with Cambridge Exams will be highly advantageous.
- You must live in or close to: Penang.
- You must be proficient in Malay language, English language, Mandarin language
- You will be required to work weekends during the Exam sessions (March – Apr / Oct-Nov), public holidays, extended hours in the early morning or late evening.
- You must be able to legally work in the country of appointment. Valid passport is required.
- You must possess a recognised language teaching qualification and Degree level certificate or equivalent. Proof of substantial, relevant, teaching experience within the last 2 to 3 years ideally, equivalent to at least 1800 hours
- British Council pre-recruitment checks will be required for shortlisted candidates, including background checks & police verification.
